Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is finally here. After four years of waiting since the first installment, fans can see the second chapter of Cloud and company’s adventure to save the planet. After such a widely praised first outing for Final Fantasy 7 Remake, can Rebirth stack up to such lofty expectations? Just How Good Is It? The answer? Pretty damn good.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth earned a Mighty rating on Opencritic with a Top Critic Average of 93, with 100% of critics recommending the title for purchase. This is the highest-reviewed Final Fantasy title in 20 years to put this in perspective for non-Final Fantasy fans. Not only this, but upon its release, it’s the highest-rated game of 2024.

Comparing the title to its predecessor from 2020, Final Fantasy 7 Remake scored lower, with a Top Critic Average of 88 and 95% of critics recommending the title.
