How Good Is It? Splatoon 3

It's even better the third time!

Splatoon is back on the Nintendo Switch in its third series entry. After years of waiting for a sequel, fans finally have Splatoon 3, but does the latest entry in the Splatoon series maintain its stature, or does it splat to the bottom of the charts?

Splatoon 3 boasts a Strong score on OpenCritic with an average rating of 83. A staggering 94% of critics would recommend buying this game. User scores are almost identical on Metacritic, averaging an 8.5.

Splatoon 3’s reviews are strong, with almost all reviews praising its online multiplayer modes. Those holding out hope for a revolutionary campaign may be disappointed, as that is the weakest part of the package. Splatoon 3 excels at everything else it does, even if it doesn’t try to do too much to set it apart from its predecessors.

Splatoon 3 is available on Nintendo Switch for $59.99. Because Nintendo rarely has sales, we suggest you get Splatoon 3 at release if you have any interest. Trust me; it isn’t worth waiting two years for $10 off.
