Overwatch 2’s New Characters
Overwatch 2 offers new heroes during each season. Because this list is updated regularly, you can always find the latest hero at the top of this section for easy access. The heroes below have an alphabetical listing, and season 1’s latest addition is Kiriko—a support class hero.
Junker Queen
After her family’s banishment from Junkertown in her youth, The Wastelander had a mission: wreak havoc on the city that spurned her. After taking down King Howl, she became the city’s first female leader. The crown ruler of Junkertown, Junker Queen, rose to the top of the food chain, still reigning over a decade after her ascent to the throne. She even had a run-in with Junkrat and Roadhog, banishing the pair from Junkertown after they worked her last nerve.
Kit & Abilities
Blizzard detailed the weapons, critical abilities, moves, and passives for Junker Queen in the above post. This Tank hero uses her Scattergun and bladed weapons to take control of the battlefield. Get close to your opponents and overwhelm them with her oppressive kit. Junker Queen excels in scattering enemy teams through short-range shots and melee moves that wound opponents. She even has a passive action that lets her heal damage thanks to the wounds she inflicts.

Kiriko
Kiriko Kamori comes from a long line of ninjas and protectors. Trained to be a kunoichi from infancy by her mother, Kiriko came to master combat at a young age. On the other hand, her grandmother taught her to commune with fox spirits. As the heir to her mother’s and grandmother’s line of work, Kiriko had to choose where to place her efforts. After some thought, Kiriko found the two paths worked to strengthen each other. Now, Kiriko works as a ninja and spirit guide, with both skill sets working together to aid her in battle.
Kit & Abilities
Kiriko employs talismans to heal her teammates in battle, using her traversal abilities to keep her distance from enemy players. Kiriko’s primary weapon, the Kunai, deals increased critical hit damage, making her attacks great for poking players from afar. Teleport to teammates to aid them in a pinch or use spells to protect allies and buff their stats. Power up your teammates during a fight with the help of the Kitsune spirit.
Sojourn
Vivian Chase joined Overwatch after working with them during the Omnic Crisis. After Soldier 76, Jack Morrison, called her, Sojourn joined the team. Her mission in Overwatch was to guard the other soldiers in her squad, ensuring they made it out of each task alive. After serving with the team for some time, Chase walked away, and it would be a long while before she did hero work again. Only after hearing that the group was coming back did Sojourn suit back up and return to the line of duty.
Kit & Abilities
As an offensive character, Sojourn offers several powerful attacks and weaponry built to pick off enemy heroes. Her Railgun fires strong, accurate projectiles that boost her energy when hitting other users. Not only is she strong, but her mobility is impressive. This hero can easily slide, jump, and dodge to avoid enemy attacks. Both her Overclock and Disruptor Shot up her damage output and confirmed her as a severe threat to any adversary.
