Marvel Rivals‘ mid-season update for Eternal Night Falls brings plenty to the game, including new heroes, a new map, and hero balance changes. Find out what changes are coming to the game on February 21, 2025, during the second half of Eternal Night Falls.

The Thing & Human Torch Added

  • The Thing joins as a Vanguard character specializing in dealing heavy blows and shielding allies.
  • Human Torch joins as a high-speed aerial duelist who rains fire down on his foes.

New Map: Central Park

  • Join the fight against Dracula on a new payload map: Central Park—free Ratatoskr from the vampire’s clutches by reaching the goal.

Vanguards

Marvel rivals captain America(+) Can now use Absolute Will for defense while jumping.
(+) Vibranium Energy Shield projectile speed increased from 60m/s to 80m/s; bounce speed increased from 100m/s to 150m/s.
(+) Call of Freedom (Ultimate) energy cost reduced from 3100 to 2800.
(=) Light Shield Strike and melee attacks are now separate.
(=)Divine Descent no longer triggers when meleeing while airborne.
marvel rivals doctor strange(-) Base health reduced from 650 to 600.
(+) Thorn Wall maximum placement distance increased from 15m to 18m.
Marvel Rivals magneto(+) Magnetic orb damage increased from 35 to 40.
(-) Electromagnetic Curtain cost increased from 50 to 65
(-) Electromagnetic Curtain max duration lowered from 2s to 1.5s
(+) Removed global cooldown after Rune Awakening ends.
venom marvel rivals(+) Devouring Feast (Ultimate) energy cost reduced from 2800 to 2500.
(=) Frenzied Arrival now knocks enemies inward instead of vertically (inward 75-degree angle)

Duelists

Black Widow from Marvel Rivals(+) The Red Room Rifle magazine size increased from 8 to 15.
(=) Energy Vortex (Ultimate) slow effect reduced from 80% to 55% but now inflicts a 4s debuff causing 15% increased damage taken.
hawkeye marvel rivals(+) Crescent Slash cooldown reduced from 15s to 12s.
(+) Falcon Vision (Ultimate) now charges bow faster, with the charge speed multiplier increased from 1.2 to 1.35.
(=) Explosive Arrow projectile damage reduced from 20 to 15 but its field damage increased from 25 to 32.
(-) Soul Piercer damage falloff at 30m increased from 70% to 80%.
Iron Fist from Marvel Rivals(+) Block and Counter max converted HP increased from 150 to 200
(+) Base health raised from 250 to 300
(=) Jeet Kune Do attack damage adjusted: Hits 1, 2, and 5 reduced from 32 to 30. Hits 3 and 4 reduced from 16 to 15. Hit 6 reduced from 55 to 50.
(=) Zig-Zag Punch damage reduced from 19 to 10 per hit but now deals 1. 7% of enemy’s max HP as damage per hit.
(=) Hear Meditation bonus HP increased from 50 to 150 but now decays at 25 HP per second after 1 second.
iron man marvel rivals(+) Beam Ray damage increased from 120/s to 140/s.
(+) Beam Ray (Armor Overdrive) damage increased from 180/s to 190/s.
magik marvel Rivals(+) Reduce the Energy cost of Darkchild (Ultimate).
(-) Reduce the damage dealt by Demon’s Rage (regular state) from 80/s to 72/s.
marvel rivals mr fantastic(+) Flexible Elongation ground effect radius increased from 2.5m to 5m; now knocks enemies outward.
(+) Braniac Bounce (Ultimate) base damage increased from 50 to 70.
(-) Braniac Bounce energy cost increased from 2800 to 2400.
(=) Braniac Bounce now has damage falloff, reducing damage from 3m outward, with max reduction at 10m.
marvel rivals moon knight(=) Each hit deals 150 damage instead of 75 but removes the previous central area effect.
(-) The Hand of Khonshu (Ultimate) descent speed reduced.
Scarlet witch marvel rivals+ Reality Erasure (Ultimate) grants 100 bonus HP upon activation, which decays at 50/s after ultimate ends.
(+) Web Shot charge time reduced from 3s to 2.5s
star lord marvel rivals(+) Rocket Boost max energy increased from 1200 to 1800.

(+) Wind Blade damage falloff at 30m improved from 70% to 60%.
(+) Ally Thunderstorm buff increased from 8% to 10%.
(-) Thunderstorm self-damage buff reduced from 16% to 12%.
(-) Enhanced Thunderstorm self-damage buff reduced from 30% to 25%.

Strategists

(+) Quantum Magic damage increased from 55 to 60.
(+) Damage falloff at 40m improved from 50% to 60%.
(+) Soul Bond healing increased from 10/s to 15/s.
Cloak and Dagger from Marvel Rivals(+) Terror Cape vulnerability effect increased from 20% to 28%.
(=) Camera control unlocked during Eternal Bond (ultimate).
(-)Eternal Bond’s energy cost increased from 3400 to 4000.
(-) Eternal Bond duration reduced from 10s to 8s, with shorter pause time between phases.
(-) Eternal Bond only applies one healing instance per phase instead of stacking.

loki marvel rivals(+) Increase Mystical Missile charges from 10 to 12.
(-) Increase the cost of God of Mischief (Ultimate) from 3400 to 4000.
marvel rivals luna snow(-) Increase the energy cost to activate Fate of Both Worlds (Ultimate) from 4000 to 4500.
