Final Fantasy XIV, or FFXIV, offers regular updates to keep the game balanced and fresh. Patch 6.18 added several changes for PvP players. While not every class saw changes in this patch, the ones that did have substantial differences.

Paladin

  • Holy Sheltron
    • Damage reduction of the Knight’s Resolve effect reduced from 20% to 15%.

Marauder/Warrior

  • Onslaught
    • Base potency increased from 400 to 500.
    • Maximum potency increased from 4,000 to 5,000.
  • Orogeny
    • Base potency increased from 800 to 1,000.
    • Maximum potency increased from 8,000 to 10,000.

Dark Knight

  • Bloodspiller
    • Base potency increased from 4,000 to 6,000.
    • The threshold for reaching maximum potency changed from HP below 20% to HP below 25%.
  • Eventide
    • Base potency increased from 1 to 10,000.

Gunbreaker

  • Burst Strike
    • Potency increased from 6,000 to 7,000.
  • Hypervelocity
    • Potency increased from 2,000 to 3,000.
    • Barrier potency of the Junction Tank bonus increased from 5,000 to 6,000.
    • The potency increase of the Junction DPS bonus changed from 4,000 to 5,000.
    • Cure potency of the Junction Healer bonus increased from 3,000 to 4,000.

Ninja

  • Seiton Tenchu
    • Duration of the Unsealed Seiton Tenchu effect reduced from 10 to 8 seconds.

Machinist

  • Blast Charge
    • Now grants a movement speed increase when Overheated.
  • Aether Mortar
    • Potency increased from 4,000 to 6,000.
    • Barrier potency increased from 4,000 to 6,000.

Dancer

  • Honing Dance
    • Potency increased from 3,000 to 4,000.
  • Reverse Cascade
    • Potency increased from 5,000 to 6,000.
  • Fountainfall
    • Potency increased from 7,000 to 8,000.
  • Saber Dance
    • Damage bonus increased from 5% to 10%.

Black Mage

  • Burst
    • Barrier potency reduced from 16,000 to 12,000.
  • Superflare
    • Enemies under the effect of Umbral Freeze are now afflicted with status ailment commensurate with the number of stacks accumulated.
      • 1 stack: Heavy
      • 2 stack: Bind
      • 3 stacks: Deep Freeze
      • Duration: 2s

Summoner

  • Fester
    • Base potency increased from 3,000 to 4,000.
    • Maximum potency increased from 6,000 to 8,000.

Astrologian

  • Gravity II
    • The Heavy effect now only applies to the first target.
  • Gravity II (When executed after Double Cast)
    • The Bind effect now only applies to the first target.
