How to get more hearts and stamina in Tears of the Kingdom

Get stronger before you fight Ganon.

Ganondorf’s back and is ready to destroy Hyrule and its people. If Link wants to defeat him, he needs to get stronger. With just a measly three hearts and one stamina wheel, it won’t be enough to take down Ganondorf, or most of the enemies in Hyrule, for that matter. Thankfully, just like in Breath of the Wild, there is a way for players to upgrade Link’s health and stamina. Here’s how you get more hearts and stamina in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Increasing Your Health or Stamina in Tears of the Kingdom

The main way to get hearts and stamina is to visit Goddess Statues when you have four Lights of Blessing. You receive a single blessing after completing a shrine. Once you have enough blessings, you can then visit a Goddess Statue. In exchange for four Lights of Blessing, you can get either a heart container or a small percentage of stamina.

Another way to get hearts (not stamina, keep that in mind), is by defeating the Regional Phenomena. However, you’ll only get four heart containers in total after defeating all of them, so your main focus should be completing the shrines instead of relying on story to upgrade your stats.
