How to get Flying Tera Type Pikachu in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Get this rare Flying-type Pikachu once Scarlet and Violet launch this fall!

Updates are here with Pokemon Scarlet and Violet just a few months away. Alongside the new trailer on August 3, The Pokémon Company showed a new type. In the Paldea region, Terastallizing is the move. Though there isn’t much out on the recent transformation, there’s plenty to love with the new forms. You’re in the right place if you want a rare version of the new type. Here’s how you can get a Tera Type Pikachu during the game’s launch window.

Players who purchase Pokemon Scarlet and Violet before February 28, 2023, get Tera Type Pikachu for free. Tera Pikachu boasts a flying type during its transformation and isn’t available via regular gameplay. The only way to get this new creature is by getting the game within the first few months. While the event is active, all users can claim the Pokemon via online services.

The gimmick in this Paldea region is Terastallizing, a move that changes Pokemon into crystals. These new forms allow users to take on new forms and types when fighting. Unlike previous region gimmicks, users can get multiple forms for the same Pokemon, like with Eevee, who sports separate Tera forms. While only a few Pokemon got showcases this time, every Pokemon can use this new move in Paldea.
