In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the vast wilds of Hyrule are yours to explore. With such an expansive world, traveling by foot can take ages, especially with so much verticality in the world. One great way to get around is via the Paraglider. This helpful tool lets you coast through the air with ease in exchange for a little stamina. You’ll want to get this item ASAP, and here’s how you do it.

Unlocking the Paraglider in Tears of the Kingdom
After leaving the Great Sky Island, you’ll be back on the surface of Hyrule. Go towards the yellow marker on your map to find Lookout Landing. Talk to Purah, and she’ll say you need to find Captain Hoz, which will begin the Crisis at Hyrule Castle mission. After speaking with Hoz and reporting back to Purah about what happened, she’ll ask you to explore the town and the Emergency Shelter.
Once you do that, go to the Skyview Tower, the tallest tower in the fort, and speak with the inventor once more. After a cutscene and a conversation where she explains the Skyview Towers’ purpose, she’ll hand you the Paraglider.
