With Overwatch 2 out for the public, new maps, skins, and heroes are out for players to enjoy. One of the new additions during the Season 1 launch of Overwatch 2, Kiriko, is the latest support class hero. However, if you want to add this character to your catalog, you’ll need to complete a few steps beforehand.

There are currently three ways to unlock Kiriko in Overwatch 2.

  • Own Overwatch 1
  • Buy the Season 1 Premium Battle Pass
  • Reach Level 25 of the Season 1 Free Battle Pass

If you own Overwatch 1, Kiriko unlocks as soon as you start up Overwatch 2. Otherwise, you’ll need to purchase the Premium Battle Pass for a quick unlock. Players that don’t mind grinding can progress to level 25 of the pass to get Kiriko free of charge.

Once you get Kiriko, she’ll remain unlocked for as long as you use your Battle.net account. Thanks to Overwatch 2 being cross-platform, you can keep characters, skins, and unlocks all on the same account, provided you link each platform to your account.
