How to unlock more outfits in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Show off some new styles.

In Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, even though you could buy all sorts of accessories, like leggings, shes, bags and hats… you only had four outfits to choose from. This made many players frustrated, considering how robust outfit customization had been in Pokemon Legends Arceus, just earlier that year. That said, the games have mended the four-outfit problem with the release of the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC: The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero.

The way to unlock more outfits is for, first purchase the upcoming DLC, The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero, for either Pokemon Scarlet or Pokemon Violet on the Nintendo eShop. Once you have done this, even before the DLC premieres in the game, players will be able to unlock four new outfits. The clothes are different for each version of the game. They stick to the overall color schemes of each game, but add a little pop of something else too.

To get these outfits, once you have bought the DLC, open Pokemon Scarlet or Violet. Press X and select Downloadable Content from the lower right corner of the menu. Then you will unlock the new clothing.

Other Possible Outfits

While they are not in the game yet, each of the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet: The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLCs shows the character in a DLC-specific outfit, similar to the Pokemon Sword and Shield DLCs. It is likely that players will unlock a green outfit with the Fall 2023 release of The Teal Mask, and a white outfit for the Winter 2023 release of The Indigo Disk. This has not been confirmed, but it is very likely. The outfits can be seen in the DLC promo art shown below.
