Hikari’s Secondary Class: Armsmaster

The best Secondary Class for Hikari in Octopath Traveler 2 is the Armsmaster. The Armsmaster class gives its user access to all six weapon types and powerful special abilities for each. Hikari’s high Physical Attack and durable build make him a strong fit for this Special Class.
Where to Find the Armsmaster License

Before you can add the Armsmaster Secondary Class to Hikari, you’ll need to unlock the license. The Armsmaster Guild master resides in Wildlands-Gravell, a town on the top of the western continent. Because enemies leading up to Gravell are tough, we suggest waiting until you come here as part of Osvald’s late-game story.
Once you get to Gravell, head to the tiny house just to the right of the town’s first save point; look for a smoking chimney to the right of this building. When you get to the house shown below, head inside.

Once you reach the building, speak to the grey-haired man (shown below). Talking to him will unlock the Armsmaster Secondary Class, but unlike other options, there’s more to do to unlock the full potential of this Special Class.

To get the most out of the Armsmaster Class, you’ll need to find the six class-specific weapons in the open world and bring them back to the Armsmaster for repair. You can see the key items you’re searching for and their true form here:
Key Item | Unlocked Weapon |

Rusty Sword | Conqueror’s Sword |
Rusty Polearm | Warlord’s Spear |
Rusty Knife | Dancer’s Blade |
Rusty Axe | Lionhert’s Axe |
Rusty Bow | Hunter’s Bow |
Rusty Staff | Spiritlord’s Staff |
These legendary weapons are mighty, each boasting high stats and unique Attack Effects. See what these optional items offer its user below:

Conqueror’s Sword | Phys. Atk. +200 +250 Phys. Atk against broken foes. |

Equipping each legendary weapon will also unlock unique skills for your Armsmaster. These skills are only usable when the party member has the item on them. You may not want all the gear on at once, but we suggest looking at each skill and the required weapon, which we share here.
Weapon Skill | Description |
---|---|
Conqueror’s Sword: Cosmic Roar | Charge your attack until the end of your turn, then unleash a powerful sword attack on a single foe. The longer the charge, the more potent the attack. |
Warlord’s Spear: Giant Swing | Unleash a moderately powerful polearm attack on all foes. The more foes there are, the more potent the attack. |
Dancer’s Blade: Mischievous Step | Unleash a dagger attack on random foes at least 3 times. The more foes there are, the more attacks you unleash on your target. |
Lionheart’s Axe: On the Hunt | Use an axe attack on a single foe 2 times. The second strike will be more powerful than the first: the more weak points you have revealed, the more potent the attack. |
Hunter’s Bow: Flurry of Arrows | Let loose a moderately powerful bow attack on all foes. If you break even one enemy, this attack triggers again. |
Spiritlord’s Staff: Deliverance | Use a powerful staff attack on a single foe. The higher your elemental attack, the more potent the strike. |
Unlike many other Secondary Classes in Octopath Traveler 2, only one person can use the Armsmaster at a time. If you do get this class for Hikari,
