No matter what Pokemon game you play, each creature has a unique Nature. Natures change the base stats of any given Pokemon, but how do you know what these modifiers do? Each of the Pokemon natures changes the stats of their host and knowing which one does what is critical. Pairing the proper nature with your partner can make it much more powerful, so study each type here.

There are 25 Natures in the Pokemon series, and any of these creatures can exhibit each. Pokemon can’t change these stats, so if you find one with a nature you don’t like, you’ll need to keep searching for a partner. Check the chart below to see the pros and cons of each type of nature.
