With Pokemon Scarlet and Violet launching for the Nintendo Switch, players can explore Gen IX and the Paldea region. Before beginning your journey, you’ll need to choose a version of the game to buy. While most people choose their version based on the legendary Pokemon, other exclusives exist in Scarlet and Violet. Make sure you know what each version offers before grabbing your copy.

On top of the new and known exclusives above, there are several unique variations for normal Pokemon in the Paldea region, and we’re not talking about regional forms. Paradox Pokemon join the list of new creatures coming to Gen IX for Pokemon. These new forms offer a past or future version for select Pokemon, and we’ll update you more after the game’s release!
