The most important stats for Alolan Ninetales are its Special Attack and Speed stats. Naturally, you’ll want to invest in natures that boosts one of these options. Those looking to improve the Special Attack power should choose the Modest nature, which takes away from the Attack stat to bolster this vital staple. We suggest this nature, as Alolan Ninetales has a higher Speed stat. Putting points in Special Attack should help balance it out.

If you’d rather focus on making your Alolan Ninetales faster, select the Timid nature, as it raises Speed at the cost of the attack stat. Because Alolan Ninetales doesn’t use physical attacks, lowering this stat won’t make much of an impact.

Just like some natures can improve Alolan Ninetales, others can hurt it. Do your best to avoid the following natures when hunting for your partner Pokemon. If you find your Pokemon has either of the options shown here, we suggest swapping it out for a new one or using a mint to change its nature in the game.

NatureEffects
Adamant+Attack/-Special Attack
Brave+Attack/Speed

The worst natures for Alolan Ninetales take away from either the Special Attack stat or the Speed stat, as these are vital to this Pokemon’s success in battle. The worst options, Adamant and Brave, each take points off one of these key stats. The Adamant nature raises Attack and lowers Special Attack, while the Brave nature boosts Attack and lowers Speed. Since you won’t need the Attack stat with this Pokemon, getting a nature that boosts a stat Ninetales won’t use is a waste.
