Thanks to a healthy stat pool, you can build a Chi-Yu that focuses on an aggressive offense

You’ll need to focus on its Special Attack or Speed stats to make Chi-Yu an offensive icon. Those who want to raise the Special Attack stat should go with the Modest nature. You’ll get a boost to Special Attack with this nature while the Attack stat decreases. Because Chi-Yu doesn’t use physical attacks, you won’t need to worry about this negative.

To amp the Speed stat for this fish Pokemon, you ought to invest in the Timid nature instead. Timid allows Chi-Yu to outpace some of the faster fighters in Pokemon, compounding on its already impressive Speed stat. Because the Special Attack stat is so high for Chi-Yu, we suggest going with the Timid nature for your partner Pokemon.

Worst Natures for Chi-Yu

While the best natures for Chi-Yu are a great way to better it on the battlefield, the worst natures could stilt this Pokemon entirely. Stay away from the natures listed below, as they’ll hurt your chance at an apex Chi-Yu. If you have a Chi-Yu with the natures here, we suggest either reloading a save to recapture and roll for a new nature. Your other option is buying some mints to swap its nature. Players can change any Pokemon’s nature using mints, at the Chansey Supply shop in Montenevera for $20,000 each.

NatureEffects
Adamant+Attack/-Special Attack
Brave+Attack/-Speed
Naughty+Attack/-Special Defense

Trainers won’t want natures like Adamant or Brave because they boost the Attack. Though the Attack stat works great for some Pokemon, it is one of the worst stats for this legendary creature. These natures also remove points from vital stats like Special Attack and Speed.

Despite Chi-Yu’s high Special Attack and Speed stat, it also sports a high Special Defense. This is another stat to keep in tact when searching for a nature. The Naughty nature lowers the Special Defense stat in exchange for Attack, which just won’t cut it for this fighter.
