Get ready for the new evolution by buffing Girafarig.

With the launch of Gen IX, players can finally explore the Paldea region with Pokemon new and old. One returning buddy this time is Girafarig, the Long Neck Pokemon, and it’s even got a new evolution! If you want to make the most of this Normal/Psychic type and its final form, you’ll want to get the best natures down before settling on a partner. Here you’ll find the best pairings for Girafarig to prepare you for your next adventure.

NatureEffects
Timid+Speed/-Attack
Modest+Special Attack/-Attack

Because Girafarig is a great Special Attacker, you must avoid a nature that lowers the Special Attack stat. While the Special Attack stat is Girafarig’s bread and butter, you could focus on upping its Speed with the Timid nature for a more balanced partner. The Timid nature does lower Attack, but that stat doesn’t mean much for this Special Attack Pokemon. The Modest nature is also a good choice, especially for those who want overwhelming Special Attack stats. Each of the options here is viable, so go with your gut! We chose Modest for our Special Attack Girafarig.

if you don’t want to have the best nature on the board or don’t feel like grinding to find a partner with these stats, that’s fine! So long as you avoid the worst natures possible, you can raise a powerful ally on your journey through Paldea.

NatureEffects
Brave+Attack/-Speed
Adamant+Attack/-Special Attack

Because Girafarig is a Special Attacker with a need for the Speed stat, you don’t want to lower either of these stats. The Brave nature knocks Speed for a boosted Attack stat. As we said earlier, the Attack stat doesn’t work great with Girafarig. The Adamant nature also focuses on Attack at the cost of the Special Attack stat, making it a worst-case scenario. Steer clear of either choice here, and you’re set to jet through the Paldea region with Girafarig!
