Best Natures for Mabosstiff
Mabosstiff can work as an offensive and defensive Pokemon, thanks to its stat pool. Which you choose depends on your preference, so look at what natures work best for the Boss Pokemon below.
Offensive Build
Nature | Effects |
---|---|
Adamant | +Attack/-Special Attack |
Jolly | +Speed/-Special Attack |
You’ll have two options if you want to make an offensive Mabosstiff. Attack and Speed are crucial for Mabosstiff, so you’ll want either Adamant and Jolly nature. To boost the Attack stat, the Adamant nature is the way to go. This nature does take some points out of the Special Attack stat, but Mabosstiff won’t need that to perform in battle.
Those who’d rather raise the Speed for their partner Pokemon can invest in the Jolly nature. This nature also removes Special Attack stat points, so it’s nothing to worry about. During our playthrough, we went with the Jolly nature to balance out the stats for our partner. Because the Attack stat is so high for the Boss Pokemon, you won’t need a buff to dole out damage. Its Speed stat, however, is mediocre and can use all the extra help it can afford.
Defensive Build
Nature | Effects |
---|---|
Impish | +Defense/-Special Attack |
While Attack builds work well for Mabosstiff, it can also help protect teammates from damage. You won’t have as strong a Defense as you would with an Attack build, but it may give your team the shield you need to set up for other moves. To boost Mabosstiff’s Defense, choose the Impish nature. Because the Special Defense is far lower for this Pokemon, we wouldn’t suggest putting points into that stat.
Worst Natures for Mabosstiff
When you build your Pokemon, there are a few natures you want to avoid, as they’ll make Mabosstiff weaker in battle. If your Pokemon exhibits any of the natures we show below, you can find another version of this Pokemon or switch its nature with a mint. Players can find mints at the Chansey Supply store in Montenevera. Make sure to bring a full wallet since these items cost $20,000 a piece.
Offensive Build
Nature | Effects |
---|---|
Modest | +Special Attack/-Attack |
Quiet | +Special Attack/-Speed |
When you build an Attack Mabosstiff, you want to avoid any natures that lower Attack or Speed stats. The worst options lower these stats and add points to a stat Mabosstiff can’t use, like Special Attack. Modest nature is the worst choice, boosting Special Attack and reducing Attack, and the second worst option, Quiet, removes points from Speed with the same bane.
Defensive Build
Nature | Effects |
---|---|
Mild | +Special Attack/-Defense |
Rash | +Special Attack/-Special Defense |
Those building a defensive Mabosstiff should avoid natures that take points out of the Defense and Special Defense stats. The worst options also raise Special Attack, so evade Mild and Rash natures when building your Mabosstiff.
