Pokemon Scarlet and Violet‘s DLC introduces dozens of Pokemon for players to add to their team, both new and old. One of the famous fighters from Pokemon Past is Milotic, who returns in The Teal Mask DLC. If you plan on adding this aquatic Pokemon to your team, make sure you know the best natures for Milotic, which we have listed here!
Best Natures for Milotic
Nature | Effects |
---|---|
Calm | +Special Defense/-Attack |
Modest | +Special Attack/-Attack |
Milotic’s best stats are its Special Defense and its Special Attack. The best natures for this Pokemon boost one of those two stats. Which nature you choose depends on what you want out of your ally.
The Calm nature boosts Special Defense at the cost of Attack, while the Modest nature amps Special Attack with the same drawback. We suggest a Calm nature for a defense-centered Milotic and a Modest nature for a well-rounded ally.

Worst Natures for Milotic
Just as some natures bring out the best in Milotic, a few options can make it perform worse in battle. Should you find a Feebas or Milotic with either of the options here, we suggest finding another with a better stat pool. You can also change a Pokemon’s nature using mints from the Chansey Supply Store. Ensure you have $20,000 Poke Dollars ready, as these items aren’t cheap.
Nature | Effects |
---|---|
Naughty | +Attack/-Special Defense |
Adamant | +Attack/-Special Attack |
The most important stats for Milotic are Special Defense and Special Attack, so any option that takes away from these stats is a no-go. That is especially true if the boon given doesn’t work with this Pokemon. The Naughty nature, for example, takes away from Special Defense while boosting Attack, Milotic’s worst stat. Adamant nature lowers Special Attack with the same boost, making both options the worst for this Pokemon.
