Pokemon Scarlet and Violet ring in Gen IX for the Pokemon franchise, and while there are plenty of new Pokemon to find and add to your team in the Paldea region, some old friends return. If you want to add the Ghost-type Mismagius to your team, it’ll help if you know the best natures for this spectral ally before you choose your companion.
Best Natures for Mismagius

Nature | Effects |
---|---|
Timid | +Speed/-Attack |
Modest | +Special Attack/-Attack |
As a Special Attack Pokemon, Mismagius excels at using non-physical attacks against opponents. While the Special Attack stat is its claim to fame, Mismagius also has a stellar Speed stat. The two values are even, so you’d do well to focus on either of these stat pools.
Those aiming to increase their Speed should select the Timid nature, improving Speed and lowering Attack. Because Mismagius doesn’t use the Attack stat, this change won’t hurt its battle power.
If you want to amp the Special Attack of the Magical Pokemon, we suggest the Modest nature, which raises Special Attack at the cost of Attack. Each of these natures is a solid option but what you choose depends on your preference.

Worst Natures for Mismagius

Even if you don’t care to find the best nature for your Pokemon ally, you should avoid the poorest options out there. Take note of Mismagius’s worst natures here.
Nature | Effects |
---|---|
Brave | +Attack/-Speed |
Adamant | +Attack/-Special Attack |
Both the Brave and Adamant natures raise Attack stats. Since Mismagius’s Attack stat is one of its worst, focusing points and energy here is a waste. These two natures boost a useless stat and take away from Mismagius’s two best stats: Speed and Special Attack. If you find this Ghost type wielding either of the natures here, we suggest searching for another one that can serve you better in battle.
