Pokemon Scarlet and Violet: Best Natures for Okidogi

Okie dokie.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet‘s Teal Mask DLC introduces several new creatures, including a few new legendaries. One of the new creatures is the sinister-looking Okidogi. If you want to add this Pokemon to your team in Scarlet and Violet, it might help to see the best natures for Okidogi. Luckily, we’ve got you covered.

Best Natures for Okidogi

Adamant+Attack/-Special Attack
Jolly+Speed/-Special Attack

The best natures for Okidogi will boost either its Attack or its Speed since it’s a physical attacker. The Adamant nature will increase Okidogi’s Attack at the cost of its Special Attack, while the Jolly nature improves Speed with the same negative. There’s no wrong way to choose between these two options. If you’d rather focus on the Attack stat, choose Adamant, and those who prefer Speed can pick Jolly. Go with your gut on this one!

While several natures make Okidogi a much better fighter, a few can also hurt its performance. If you find your ally has one of the natures shown below, we suggest reloading an old save and capturing it again or changing its nature with a mint.

Modest+Special Attack/-Attack
Quiet+Special Attack/-Speed

Because Okidogi needs the Attack and Speed stats to perform at its best in battle, any nature that takes away from either of these aspects is unfavorable. If the nature takes away from Attack or Speed while giving a boost that Okidogi can’t use, that’s the worst-case scenario.

The Modest nature boosts the Special Attack of a Pokemon while lowering Attack, and since Special Attack is one of Okidogi’s worst stats, it’s not a good fit for them. Meanwhile, the Quiet nature raises Special Attack stats and lowers Speed stats, hurting another critical stat for this ally.
