Pokemon Scarlet and Violet let players catch monsters from generations, new and old. One fan-favorite, Scizor, returns for this adventure. To get the best version of Scizor, finding the best natures is an excellent first step. Make sure you find a fantastic option in the wild when choosing a partner for the Paldea region.
You can find the best natures for this Bug-type below, but what style you go with depends on your preference.
Best Natures for Scizor
Nature | Effects |
---|---|
Adamant | +Attack/-Special Attack |
Jolly | +Speed/- Special Attack |
Impish | +Defense/-Special Attack |
Players should focus their Scizor’s stats on either Attack, Speed, or Defense. Because Scizor excels in several stat pools, there is room to work with. Those who want an Attacker would do well to side with the Adamant nature that boosts Attack in exchange for the Special Attack, a stat that Scizor won’t use. If you’d like to up Scizor’s mediocre Speed, Jolly is a great choice, but it will also lower its Special Attack. Scizor has absurd Attack power, so this won’t impact this physical fighter. Another great choice is the Impish nature that boosts Defense in exchange for Special Attack power, and Scizor exhibits a sturdy defense that can help guard against attacks in battle.

Worst Natures for Scizor
While finding the best nature is optimal for creating a powerful Pokemon partner, finding one with these stats can be tedious. If you don’t want to farm a partner with the above stats, try to avoid the following natures instead.
Nature | Effects |
---|---|
Modest | +Special Attack/-Attack |
Quiet | +Special Attack/-Speed |
Mild | +Special Attack/-Defense |
Modest, Quiet, and Mild natures all boost Special Attack. As stated earlier, this stat isn’t a good fight for Scizor, who uses Physical attacks in battle. Additionally, each of these natures lowers one of Scizor’s three main stat pools. Modest lowers Attack, Quiet tanks Speed, and Mild mows down Defense. If you find a friend with these natures, it’s best to put them in a PC box and keep searching.
Once you have a nature outside the three worst options, you’re ready to take on Gen IX and the Paldea region!
