Splatoon 3 Splatfast: when and how to participate

Rock, paper, scissors, splat!

With Splatoon 3’s launch fast approaching, Nintendo held a Direct sharing loads of new information. Though players can’t play the full release until September 9, an early playtest is coming out before the end of August!

Splatoon 3 Splatfests have three choices instead of just two, with three teams battling for supremacy, and the winners get all the glory. The event is for one day only, on Saturday, August 27, 2022, from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

The theme of the Splatfest on August 27 is Rock, Paper, or Scissors. Users can select their team and battle other teams when it starts in multi-phase events. Unlike the last few iterations of Splatfest, the event ends in a Tri-Color Turf War.

In this new event, the leading team’s four members try to defend their turf from two members of each opposing team. Whoever claims the hill at the end wins, but be careful. It won’t be easy to dethrone the leaders.
