Season 16: Revelry is the first ever Apex Legends season to not give players a new Legend. That said, the amount of updates to the game coming this season far outweigh the amount of changes in a typical season of Apex Legends. The biggest highlights of the new season are the introduction of the much-requested Team Deathmatch game mode, a new weapon, and a rework of all of the Legends and their classes. Let’s take a look.
Team Deathmatch

Team Deathmatch had been live in Apex Legends Mobile for a while, but despite the mode being extremely popular there, TDM had never made it into the core game… until now. Team Deathmatch is a game mode where you rack up kills and respawn when you die fighting against one other team.
Team Deathmatch will be live for the first three weeks of the season, and then move to a permanent rotating playlist called Mix Tape along with Control, and Gun Run. Arenas is no longer in the game for the time being.

Nemesis Burst AR

The new weapon joining the loot pool this season is the Nemesis Burst AR. An energy assault rifle with an automatic burst fire pattern. The bursts get faster the longer you shoot. This is the first new weapon in Apex Legends since the C.A.R. SMG and was said by the developers created to specifically compete with the VK-47 Flatline and the R-301 Carbine.
Legend Class Changes

Every Legend in the game is getting a rework this season, and the Legend classes are changing. The new classes are as follows:
- Assault
- Recon
- Skirmisher
- Controller
- Support
This season update is definitely jam packed. Other changes include a daily map rotation for Ranked Leagues, a new Anniversary Collection Event, and new community created cosmetics.
Apex Legends Season 16: Revelry launches on February 14.
