Apex Legends brings a sun-themed event to ring in spring 2023. The Apex Legends Sun Squad Collection Event rolls out with several new features. With cosmetics, updates, and a limited-time mode, there’s plenty to look forward to in Respawn’s battle royale.
The headline mode during the Apex Legends Sun Squad Collection event puts players in hot water. In Heatwave, standing outside during periodic climate changes causes players to take damage. Once the sun kicks in, you’ll have to run inside or hide in the shade to mitigate the damage during this trios playlist. If you get stuck in the heat, sliding is the way to go, as it cools off any legend outside on the run. Heatshields also see improvements in this limited mode, sporting larger capacities and protection from the sun while outdoors. Be careful, though, as heatshields break faster outside the ring.
Sun Squad Collection Event Items
Looking to spice up your look? You’re in luck, as Sun Squad brings 24 new items for cosmetic collectors on March 28. Ash, Mirage, and Fush see the headlining Legendary skins for this event, but there are plenty of extras for other characters on the roster. Complete challenges in the event’s battle pass to creep through the ranks and earn these rare items. Each of the new cosmetics is also up for exchange via Apex Coins or Crafting Metals for the duration of Sun Squad. Players who get all 24 cosmetics from the Sun Squad Collection event get Ash’s “Strongest Link” Heirloom for free!
With the Sun Squad Collection event comes more store bundles for players to get their hands on. Event skins from the Sun Squad Collection event are available until April 11, 2023, and you can see some of the premier prices here:
