It’s no exaggeration to say Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is one of the year’s biggest releases for PlayStation. With Peter and Miles returning in just a few months, promo material is finally here.

Marvel Comics brought fans a special surprise for Free Comic Book Day 2023: a comic focusing on both Spider-Men from Insomniac’s superhero game series. ‘Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 (2023) #1‘ ties directly into the upcoming title, leading to the coming conflicts. Until today, you could only grab it at your local comic shop, but now it’s up online!
See what these fan-favorite characters have been up to since their last outing in 2018’s Spider-Man and 2020’s standalone Spider-Man: Miles Morales. While you won’t need to read this issue to enjoy Spider-Man 2, you can never have enough Spider-Man (at least I can’t).

While there’s no confirmation, it seems the antagonists are Harry Osborn’s Venom and Kraven the Hunter this time. Those familiar with Spider-Man will know that Kraven often trains Peter before turning on him and hunting the hero. As the narrator of the trailer, it seems Kraven is still on the hunt for a worthy foe, roping Peter, Miles, Harry, and the Symbiote in his twisted game.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 launches as a PS5 exclusive in Fall 2023.
