Marvel Rivals Reveals New Season: Eternal Night Falls, Coming Jan. 10

The Fantastic Four join a vampire-infested New York in Marvel Rivals' first season.

Marvel Rivals continues to impress with a steady flow of content. Just over a month after its launch, the game starts a new season and a handful of new characters. Marvel Rivals’ first official season (following the smaller season 0). Season 1: Eternal Night Falls launches January 10, 2025, and introduces the Fantastic 4.

Mister Fantastic, The Invisible Woman, The Human Torch, and The Thing are all on the Season 1 itinerary of Marvel Rivals’ inaugural season.

While not officially confirmed, speculation lists the upcoming characters in the following classes.

  • Mister Fantastic: Duelist
  • Human Torch: Duelist
  • Invisible Woman: Strategist
  • The Thing: Vanguard

It can also be assumed that New York, showcased in the Marvel Rivals Season 1 trailer will debut in the game as a playable map.

NetEase Games revealed a first look at the upcoming characters coming to Rivals in a trailer dropped on January 6, 2025, which you can see below:

The Eternal Night Falls season furthers the story of Marvel Rivals, with Marvel’s first family fighting Dracula in a vampire-infested New York, which was first revealed in the ‘No On Rivals Doom’ cinematic in Summer 2024.

NetEase Games will showcase more on the upcoming season in the days leading up to Eternal Night’s launch, including a look at these characters and their abilities.
