New Nintendo Direct for June 21

Nintendo's summer showcase is finally here.

With June passing the halfway point and Summer Game Fest ending soon, fans were wondering if and when we’d get a Nintendo Direct this summer. Thankfully, we don’t have to wonder any longer. The entertainment giant finally announced its June Nintendo Direct showcase, and it’s almost here. The upcoming presentation takes place on June 21, 2023.

Nintendo of America announced the upcoming showcase for June 21 on their Twitter account, revealing that the show starts at 7:00 a.m. PT/10:00 a.m. ET. Nintendo’s June conference is a meaty one, running about 40 minutes. Viewers can expect a good look at Nintendo’s Switch launch schedule for the rest of 2023, with an extended look at Pikmin 4.

While we don’t know what will accompany the Pikmin 4 extended preview, we have some ideas of what will show up. We can assume that the next wave of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe’s Booster Pass will appear at the showcase, as they’ve been a constant since their announcement.

I predict the announcement of a new Mario Superstar Baseball series entry. Because it’s the only sports franchise without an entry on Nintendo’s hybrid console, it’s likely in development. Hopefully, Mario Baseball turns out better than Mario Strikers: Battle League.
