One Piece Odyssey sails into Summer Game Fest with new gameplay

A swashbuckling anime game approaches!

Summer Game Fest became the summer’s biggest showcase due to E3’s cancellation. Many thought the showcase landscape would wither this year. On the contrary, Summer Game Fest delivered several impressive reveals, including One Piece Odyssey gameplay.

Unlike previous One Piece games, One Piece Odyssey is a JRPG featuring turn-based combat. Players can take control of each member of the Straw Hat Pirates on this adventure. Each character uses unique abilities and powers. Players got a quick glimpse of the open areas and cutscenes in the latest trailer. You can see the game’s authentic style below:

One Piece Odyssey also features original characters designed by Eiichiro Oda, the creator of One Piece. Players will work to gather the crew, repair their ship, and escape a mysterious island when the game launches. One Piece Odyssey releases in 2022 for P.C., PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
