Original Kings Canyon map debuts in Apex Legends Mobile

We dropping Skull Town, y'all.

Do you hear that? That’s the sound of 5,000 Wraith mains dropping Skull Town only to hit disconnect the second they get knocked. That’s right. Kings Canyon is back in its original form, this time, for Apex Legends Mobile. The map was introduced in a preseason patch preparing for the full launch of Season 2: Distortion on July 12. This map was a fan-favorite before the plethora of changes made to it, and many players will be excited to get back to the basics.

Battle Royale Map Rotation

The Kings Canyon map is live in-game now, and will be the only Battle Royale map in rotation for the next four days. After the new season launches, it can be expected that the map rotation will rotate between World’s Edge and Kings Canyon, though nothing is currently confirmed.

Kings Canyon History

Kings Canyon was the first map ever introduced to Apex Legends. It was in the PC and Console version of the game before the game had actually released. That makes it extremely apropos that it is the next map to join the Apex Legends Mobile lineup.

Some of the historically fan-favorite drop spots include Thunderdome, Artillery, Market, and of course, the (in)famous Skull Town. Artillery and Market had already been a part of Apex Legends Mobile individually as maps for Multiplayer, but having the entire map in play is a game changer.
