PlayStation mascots are getting some recognition in Destiny 2! On May 23, 2023, Sony announced an event featuring some of the most popular franchises in their catalog, coming to Bungie’s popular FPS alongside the Season of the Deep update.
The Destiny x PlayStation Event gives each of the game’s three main classes a unique cosmetic armor set modeled after famous PlayStation protagonists.

Destiny 2 x PlayStation Armor Sets
Hunters have a set styled after the Horizon franchise’s Aloy, with her traditional Nora armor on full display. The metal portions of this armor set emulate the armor from metallic beasts of the Horizon world.

Titans get a kit modeled after Kratos: the Ghost of Sparta and the God of War. Kratos’ unmistakable tattoos line this silver armor set, with the bottom half of the helmet even mimicking his beard.

The Warlock armor set boasts the look of Jin Sakai, the Ghost of Tsushima. This black set showcases Jin’s mask and headband on the head, with the samurai sword and the crest of Clan Sakai adorning a Warlock’s waist.

Additional PlayStation Cosmetics
Along with the new armor sets, players can get a Ratchet and Clank-inspired emote from the shop. Those familiar with the franchise will recognize the Golden Bolt capture animation.

Fans of The Last of Us can also get a sparrow, ship, or ghost that covers their chosen accessory in Cordyceps fungus.

Thanks to the Sony acquisition of Bungie in 2022, collab events like this will likely continue. And with less than 24 hours until the 2023 PlayStation Showcase, it’s a great way to build hype for what’s sure to be the most extensive showing from Sony this summer.

Even though the trailer omits price information, we can assume that these sets cost $20 based on previous event armor sales.
