MultiVersus: when do Rick and Morty join the roster?

Rick and Morty get schwifty in MultiVersus next month.

MultiVersus brings together characters from famous franchises under the WB umbrella. On July 22, 2022, Player First Games announced Rick and Morty would join the roster, but how long do you have to wait to play this classic duo in the WB platform fighter?

Rick and Morty join the MultiVersus Roster during Season One. Morty joins on August 23, with Rick Sanchez releasing later during the season.

Season One starts on August 15 with a 50-tier Battle Pass and various rewards to unlock. While Rick currently has no release date, players can expect more info from Player First Games in the coming weeks.

MultiVersus Season One includes several significant updates, including a Classic Arcade Mode, new cosmetics, Ranked Mode, and additional characters. You can see the Season One Snapshot below:

Not every Mode and planned update come at the start of Season One. Player First Games stated that while everything shown above will debut during the game’s freshman season, each addition will join MultiVersus when ready.

Rick and Morty are separate characters, unlike Tom and Jerry. Rick Sanchez joins the Mage class of characters as its third entry, while Morty Smith represents the populated Bruiser category. Both characters are expert-level, so it’ll take 3,000 Gold to unlock them. Because these characters are so challenging to use, it may take some time to get used to their move sets.
